| Purpose of the meeting A public hearing to receive comments on a proposed general VPDES permit for discharges resulting from the application of pesticides to surface waters. The proposed action establishes a general permit for discharges from the following pesticide uses: mosquito and other flying inesct pest control, aquatic weed and algae control, aquatic animal pest control and forest canopy pest control. The proposal appears in the Virginia Register on October 25, 2010. The public comment period begins on October 25, 2010 and ends on December 27, 2010. An informational briefing will be held prior to the public hearing beginning at 2:00 p.m. | ||
