| Summary |
The DEQ Storage Tank Program oversees the characterization and cleanup of petroleum releases to mitigate risks to human health and the environment. Case Managers frequently make assessment and remediation decisions for release sites where free product is present. This guidanc document is an expansion of Section 5.5 of the Technical Manual and was developed to assist case managers in evaluating the feasibility and practicality of free product removal and to recognize when a case can be closed with no increased risk to human health and the environment. |
