The proposed policies are another attempt to impose woke ideology on the common person, who (I hope to God) does not support it. They would facilitate complaints of "discrimination, harassment, or bullying." Invariably, the end result is that students, teachers, &c. are terrorized for offenses they did not commit, or arraigned for minor offenses against political correctness, &c.
They would have school personnel withhold information "relating to a student’s transgender status" from parents, thus undermining the authority and right of parents as the principal caretakers of their children.
They would "eliminate or reduce the practice of segregating students by gender to the extent possible," thus robbing students of valuable time spent learning and growing with members of their own sex.
They would undermine the beauty of having two sexes with bland uniformity. There is no reason for "gender-neutral attire."
They would subject confused female students to the terrors of the men's locker rooms. They would facilitate confusion and feelings of "superiority" and elevated social status. Students participating in the latest "fad" should not expect authorities to recognize their fad as sacred. Is it not miraculous that half the girls I know all of sudden are boys?
They would subject school staff to yearly indoctrination sessions, imposing hateful woke ideology on innocent people.
If the state actually cares what the people of Virginia think, they will listen to their valid concerns, rather than staging a mock townhall, then proceeding to do as they please.
These proposed policies do not reflect the values of the people of Virginia. It remains to be seen whether or not authorities care.
