Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Illogical, unscientific, a set up for teacher abuse by trans students

This policy flies in the face of biblical truth and is, therefore, inherently unconstitutional.  “ So God created man ( people ) in His own image, in the image of God, He created him, male and female He created them.”  Genesis 1:27. ESV A teacher or student with a Judeo-Christian foundation will be subject to discriminatory behavior by those claiming to be "trans".  Male one day, female the next, neither the day after, both, who knows?   Students who are accused will not have the right to have their parents present to defend them.  This is discrimination.   Our society has been moving to eliminate discrimination by eliminating labels, such as oriental, colored, poor, disabled, retarded, etc. And this has been good.  Now, labels are all important if you are trans!  Illogical.  All people should be treated with respect.   In a society that constantly screams “ follow the science", and "I believe in science", when it comes to the 'trans' population, science is totally ignored.  Does anyone even remember basic biology?   This policy is rife with problems that will only cause more confusion, conflict, legal issues, and a further undermining of an already troubled education system.
