Board of Health,
Dear members of the Board of Health,We all know the abortion facility regulation issue has political overtones. We all know that many of those who vehemently support the new regulations are also vehemently against abortion itself. We all know that many of those who oppose the new regulations are also vehement abortion supporters. But we all know that none of that matters.A healthcare facility that performs the sort of procedures that abortion "clinics" perform should be held to the same standards that other facilities, performing similar procedures, are held. It just makes sense. The state should not hold some providers to higher standards than others, simply out of fear that clinics would not meet the standards and a particular procedure would become less accessible. As the old adage goes, "If its worth doing, its worth doing right."Thank you for accessing the issue responsibly. Jonathan W. Darnel
