Protecting my father’s rights

As my father’s daughter and primary caretaker, I respectfully urge you to protect his right to choose his own service facilitator. My father depends on trusted, consistent support to help him navigate a complex system and maintain his health, safety, independence, and dignity.

His current facilitator understands his needs and plays an important role in ensuring he receives the support necessary to live safely and with dignity. This relationship provides our family with peace of mind, knowing he has someone who understands his circumstances and advocates for his well-being.

Changing this trusted relationship could create unnecessary hardship, disrupt his care, and place additional burdens on our family. The ability to choose someone he trusts is not simply a preference; it is essential to his quality of life and well-being.

Please protect my father’s right to choose the service facilitator he trusts and depends on. His voice, choices, and individual needs deserve to remain at the center of decisions affecting his care.

Thank you for your time, consideration, and commitment to protecting his right to receive the support he needs
