I do not support the proposed changes to Virginia’s Medicaid waiver programs. These programs provide much-needed assistance to people who cannot manage their daily needs without help. Reducing services or adding more restrictions could have serious consequences for individuals who depend on this care. Not every family has the time, resources, or ability to provide around-the-clock assistance. People should not have to struggle to receive the support they need to live safely and comfortably. I encourage Virginia officials to protect these essential services and consider the long-term impact these changes could have on our communities.
