The parent carers on this forum are paid caregivers only because we are unable to obtain care at the pathetic "far below going wage" rates authorized.

We are subjected to 2 or 3 invasive home visits per month, between which there are long periods where case support is gapped because the agencies and regional support boards cannot find staff.

We are essentially your cheap alternative to maintaining state run asylums or homes for thousands of adults with dramatically extensive needs. All disguised as something merciful and caring.

Now, you want to impose an arbitrary cap on waiver hours, which, in all our spare time, we are expected to fight for whatever the previous, agreed upon cap was.

Donald J Trump himself couldn't come up with a more heartless plan to impose on Virginia parents.

I urge you to reconsider.
