I have been with Oxford since March 3. 2025. I am currently holding the position of Comptroller at Redeemed Oxford House in Christiansburg Virginia. I work a full-time job, and I am very serious about my recovery. Oxford house has been a very big part of my recovery, it has taught me how to learn to love myself again, to be self- supporting, how to follow the rules, write checks, balance a check book, and most important how to be a part of sober living family. Where, as a family we hold each other accountable and handle our conflicts and differences to Oxford house standards. For some people Oxford is there only family, and where our connections started. The whole point in being self- supportive is to teach those of us who are just beginning to get our lives together from addiction that it is possible to start over. It would be absolutely ridiculous to have staff in our houses. WE ARE SELF-SUPPORTING DEMOCRATICALY RUN !
