I am tired of hearing the general public complain about staffing issues, improper care, poor and poor conditions without recognizing there are far less people going into healthcare today period. How many of them are willing to give up their technology jobs, remote working and business development to go to care for people in a nursing home? Nursing home care requires compassion, respect, and dedication to a human being.....not technology. It means cleaning a human who is incontinent, brushing teeth, feeding, turning and listening to the same story multiple times....and not just one person but multiple. And this is all while being scrutinized by family members and governing agencies...are these people willing to pitch in and help?! Respect and recognition for those who work in nursing homes is crucial. Leaders who can lead by inclusion, teamwork, respect and compassion are needed and proper pay for this work. thank you for doing a survey. I look forward to the strategic plans for improved care and working conditions.
