I have personally witnessed Omega killing prized gamefish and throwing them overboard in pursuit of their menhaden. Not only is it a complete waste of gamefish, it’s also preventing those prized gamefish from spawning. Because well over half of the prized gamefish that are mixed in with the menhaden are of breeding size and need to be protected so they can pass on their genes to the next generation of gamefish. Omega is also completely ignoring the rule that they MUST be at least 3 miles out. I have seen them almost up on to the beach in some places. Omega is also a Canadian owned company and send over 90 percent of their menhaden to Canada to be made into fish meal. So not only is it not a USA company but USA is getting almost 0 percent of the benefits. If there are any benefits. IF TRUMP REALLY CARED ABOUT USA HE WOULD KICK THEM OUT into federal waters! EVERY SINGLE recreational fishermen I talk to do NOT want them in our bay. Let alone in USA waters. It’s 500 jobs vs at least 50,000 recreational fishermen and captains AND GROWING!  We need to kick them out of USA waters PERIOD! END OF STORY!
