As a life-long resident of the Eastern Shore and an avid recreational angler in both the Virginia and Maryland portions of the Chesapeake, I've seen firsthand the decline of menhaden numbers in the bay and its impacts.  There are fewer predator fish, fewer Osprey on my creek every year, and less frequent visits from Bald Eagles in the winter.  Please act to protect the menhaden to help restore balance to the bay.
