Headed for disaster

I am strongly in support of this measure. Having spent in excess of 50 years fishing along the Mid Atlantic coast it is painfully obvious that the current stocks of menhaden are in serious decline and without intervention are headed towards a future as a no longer sustainable fishery. Over the last 3 years the average size of menhaden has plummeted with full size bunker essentially unavailable, and I cannot understand the justification of allowing a Canadian company (Omega Protein) to exploit our resources to this level. This is an opportunity for the Virginia Legislature to follow the will of their constituents and at the same time do what is right for the health of the bay. Please put an end to the reduction fishery in the bay.
