I live in Chesterfield County, Virginia and I oppose Petition 432.  This petition is not about locker rooms.  It is about hurting a group of people who just want to live their lives without the Board of Health getting into their personal, private, business.

There are real public health issues facing women in VA.  Don't let this hateful petition distract you from your important mission to protect the health and promote the well-being of ALL people in VA.

All people deserve to be treated fairly regardless of their background, race, or gender.  I have a transgender son and he just wants to live his life and be happy.  He doesn't want to hurt anyone.  Being transgender should NOT be a political issue.  This policy that is being pushed is only going to hurt individuals, especially if they are a teen or young adult.  It will make them more suseptable to bullying in schools.  Trans people don't want to be outed.  Preventing a child from playing sports will do more harm than good.  Teach kids to be kind to one another and be accepting of people who are not like them.
