This petition is not about locker rooms.  This is about discrimination towards people simply for being who they are. 

I am a mother of a transgender girl.  All she wants to do in a locker room is change her clothes, just like any other kid in a locker room.  She is not out to harm or harass anyone.  She just wants to get dressed and go play. 

This petition is a distraction from the true direction and source of violence and harassment.  The people who are more often getting harassed in bathrooms and locker rooms are transgender people, by cisgender people. 

We should be focusing on the ACTUAL issues that are facing people in Virginia rather than scapegoating one portion of the population.  We are all Virginians.  Don't let lack of information or fear rule your heart and heads.
