According to NCAA President Charlie Baker in December 2024, there are "less than 10" transgender athletes competing in collegiate sports. We are wasting precious time and energy on a petition that inordinately targets a marginalized group of people. If this goes into effect, not only are we targeting individuals that are harassed on the daily, but it will also affect intersex people and gender non-conforming cisgender women. This will affect "biological women" who commit the social faux pas of not being the feminine ideal, who may have deeper voices or stockier builds. 

These petitions are entrenched in ignorance. A refusal to see that 2+2=4. Trans women are women (it's in the name!) and deserve to be protected as women.
