| Action Summary |
The Standards for Licensed Children’s Residential Facilities, 22VAC40-151, provide requirements for the public and the Department of Social Services to evaluate the safety, well-being, and stability of care provided to children and youth while placed in a licensed children’s residential facility.
This action proposes technical edits and amendments to reduce regulatory burden on licensed children’s residential facilities by clarifying and removing repetitive, obsolete, and overly prescriptive requirements in accordance with Executive Directive One (2022) and Executive Order 19 (2022). The amendments also provide consistency with the definitions in § 63.2-100 of the Code of Virginia.
