| Action Summary |
Licensing Standards for Independent Foster Homes, 22VAC40-141, provides requirements for the public and the Department of Social Services to evaluate the safety and stability of care provided to children and youth placed in an Independent Foster Home. This action proposes technical edits and amendments that reduce regulatory burden on independent foster home providers by clarifying and removing repetitive, obsolete, and overly prescriptive requirements in accordance with Executive Directive One (2022) and Executive Order 19 (2022). The amendments also provide consistency with the Standards for Licensed Child-Placing Agencies, 22VAC40-131 and General Procedures and Information for Licensure, 22VAC40-80.
