Action:
Repeal and Amend Regulations Following Periodic Review
Action 6699
General Information
Action Summary |
There is a continued need for substance abuse education and prevention, as well as counseling, in public schools, as the Board of Education continues to recognize that the illegal and inappropriate use of certain substances constitutes a hazard to the development of students. However, this regulatory chapter has not been evaluated since it was promulgated in 1980. Chapter 310 should be repealed, and the underlying regulations should be amended for clarity and moved to Chapter 720 (Regulations Governing Local School Boards and School Divisions). |
