In support of new ABC Happy Hour regulations

The Green Pig Bistro in Arlington, VA wholeheartedly supports the proposed regualtions regarding increased Happy Hour advertising. "Happy Hour" is a critical and important part of how many bars and restaurants cater to an afer work and neighborhood crowd. It is key for building early evening business and transitioning to a dinner crowd and we welcome any regulations that make it slightly easier for us to advertise our food and service.

Happy Hour Regulations

We need the flexibility to advertize beer, wine, and mixed bev to our guest. We are often overlooked for having these offerings because we are a bakery/eatery.

Legislation regarding Happy Hour Advertising

I fully support this legislation making it legal to advertise Happy Hour specials.  This was an archaic law banning any sort of advertising for bars and restaurants.

Legislation regarding Infused Liqour

I am in full support of this bill allowing the infusion of liquor with flavorings.  This is another archaic law that bans the infusion of alcohol and needs to be overturned.

We are very much in support of the proposed changes in regard to the liquor infusions. We support many Virginia farmers and growers and would like to create infused libations featuring the produce. We will continue to act responsibly and ask for the changes to be made.

I support infusions

Allowing restaurants to infuse spirits will drive business to Virginia by elevating its bar scene and echoing standard best practices seen in D.C. and other parts of the country.

Support for Proposed Ammendment 3VAC5-50

As the owner of eleven establishments holding ABC licenses in the Commonwealth of VIrginia, we support the proposal 3VAC5-50 item C in regards to allowing licensed establishments to infuse distilled spirits on premise.  We believe this will be a positive for our industry in the Commonwealth.  Guests will no longer need to cross statelines for these in house diffused spirits.  Adequate care has been taken in the proposal to ensure safety of the community by requiring that all food safety measures will be followed.

Infusions

As a mixed beverage licencee, we are in full support of infusion of spirits. This will give us the opportunity to express ourselves in a new way as well as give more support to local farmers by using their produce and fresh fruits.

Thank you,

Margarita Arnold
