Terminology use for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever

The older term 'Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever' has been replaced by 'Spotted Fever Rickettsiosis' in scientific and medical usage.  The regulations should be changed to relect this more current terminology.

Protection of select agent information regardless of reporting source

12 VAC 5-90-360 specifies the conditions for release of information from reports submitted to the selet agent and toxin registry.  This clearly covers submissions by those required to report.  The acency may also recieve corroborating reports or copies of reports from other parties, such as branches of the federal government who posess this information.  Release of reports submitted by these parties presents a similar risk for use of the information to perpetuate intentionnal harm.  12 VAC 5-90-360 should specify that the reports submitted to the regitry are protected, regardless of the submitter.
