Dear Ms. Martine:
As a professional property management company in the Commonwealth of Virginia, it is our belief that regulations concerning an education-based certification program are an unecessary burden to small buisnesses such as ours. Federal penalties regarding Fair Housing violations and involvement in litigation with the Department of Justice serve as incentive enough for us to comply and train our staffs without another layer of government involvement.
We have trained our people consistently over the last 15 years not to discriminate. We did this because it was the right thing to do. We will continue to train our people and will not discrimate with or without these regulations. It is simply a burden small Virginia businesses do not need.
Sincerely,
