The board should consider accepting ASHA's requirement for CEs as well as ASHAs oversight rather than requiring a separate CE requirement..

I appreciate the Board's changes in making the CE timeframe consistent with the 'license renewal date' and not including a specific date.

However, the date was not changed in Section A. There it still states that ' In order to renew an active license, a licensee shall complete at least 10 contact hours of continuing education prior to December 31 of each year.' I would suggest that this needs to be changed as well in order for there to be consistency.

There is already a credentialing body in place.  There is no need for the added expense and therefore time involved in tracking CEU hours. This is redundant.

Consistency between ASHA and BASLP requirements for SLP CE is appreciated. Thanks.
