Glad to see direct, non-technical language. Would like to see greater emphasis on monitoring progress towards ISP goals via regular behavioral markers.

Since DSPs have to be competent with Competency 3 (Health and Safety) prior to working with out someone deemed proficient, this section should be Competency 1. While I believe philosophically, Person Centeredness should be first; practically, Competency 1 should be the first place Competency is documented on the form, which is the health and safety competency. . 

I like the simplified language. 

Just a point of note: the form is DMAS form #P241a. Town Hall has it referenced as DMAS form #241a.

Basic competences checklist

- I like the hire date on the tops of the pages

-Referring to 3a and 3 b columns

I like the words “proficiency confirmed” moved to column 3b, because that is the final date I am meeting with the DSPs and having them sign the entire packet.

I like to use column 3a during training and meetings I have with DSPs within the 180 days. Often times that box has an earlier date, if I have found them competent on that particular topic/item then 3b I confirm proficiency.

- The original packet, I like the 2 different signature boxes for confirmation sign offs. Having those 2 separate boxes helps me remember we need to separate confirmation dates, with all our busy lives, I find having the separate boxes helpful as in the original set.

-3.14 is a supervisor skill it should have N/A in the DSP column

-Question about the additional year signature pages- Would the original completion signature be considered year one and not have year 1, on a separate page?

- The last pages of signatures section for year 1, 2, 3 and 4 are too confusing. The original competency set of subsequent signature section was easier to understand with competent on the top, disclaimer in the middle and a second signature for reconfirmation. 

The new format is way too confusing and has several pages where it could go back to a single page in the original format.

Complex support competencies

• I like the hire date at the top

• I like that the content is downsized from 3 packets to all-inclusive to 1, original packets were repetitive with each other. Great job condensing.
• I like the check boxes for Health, Behavior, and Autism
• Same question as above would signature for year 1 be the same as the date of completing the original packet. Can year 1 be eliminated?

I'm in agreement with Amy Braswell's feedback re: moving the "Section 3" to be the first section that appears on the basic Comp. This would help to eliminate room for error since every person providing supports needs to have that completed first before any other piece of the comp would need completed anyhow.

Regarding the annual renewals - I don't see the need for a Year 1, as the comp itself is "year 1." 

I very much appreciate that all advanced comps are in a singular package together now! That saves so much time, concentrates any updates/etc to ONE document vs. 3-4 that may get updated at different times and something gets missed, or someone completes the wrong one, etc. This provides much more security for the person completing the form and the person whom the form is being completed about.
