There's a balance to environment and affordable homes - but this isn't it.

Good stewardship of the environment and affordable homes is possible.  But, not by making a new home more expensive to build because of a new regulation that is based dubious science and assumptions, and is muddling around at the bottom of the diminshing returns curve.  Experience in an area of the state that already has nutrient limits lower than what is proposed here shows the expense of low impact development is 20 to 30% higher per unit than similar units other areas under the current stormwater regs - and that doesn't include the managed turf provision or the massive treatment volume increases.  We don't need keep throwing good money after bad.  Better enforcement of the already stringent existing regulations is a very workable first step in continuing to improve the protection of our treasured environmental resources such as the Chesapeake and its tributaries.  VOTE NO.
