We do not need continuing education

I just want to voice my objection to the proposed implimentation of continuing education requirements for registered professional engineers.  I work with engineers that are registered in other states which require CE and it is a general opinion that this requirement is a of little or no benefit.  As engineers, we are required to stay current in our field, and to exercise high ethical standards while conducting our business.  Having a requirement to seek qualifying CE will be of no benefit to me and I would like to voice my objection to this proposal.  Thank you.
