Virginia Vote No for mandatory Continuing Education

I am currently working for a public schools district who will most likley pay for any continued education; however, prior this position I worked for over ten years in for myself. I was busy trying to make a living and could not take off for a seminar type program usually offered out of town at a great amount of money. I withdrew from the AIA when they adopted the CE program. I believe this whole issue is driven by money  and will allow  private seminar firms and publishers to continue raking in the money like they are doing in all over the country. Virginia is on the list for future profits by these private firms. If the Commonwealth of Virginia elects to  require CE the State should run the entire program. We do not need  a bunch of salemen and vendors running any CE program.
