Proposed Stormwater Regulations

I am a raparian owner on two rivers, a lifelong hunter, fisherman, conservationist, and resident of Virginia.  I have been a member of conservation organizations in order to work with others in water quality issues.  Sadly,  after study,  I have concluded that these regulations will not work because the numerous people I have known for years who design and build stormwater management facilities have no confidence in the regulations as proposed.  I want to enhance the Virginia out of doors through good stewardship, not well intended but misguided proposals.  The consequences of these regulations include increased sprawl rather than efficent land use and a poor return for the dollar invested in water quality. Please consider the the comments from those closest to the job of designing and building facilities that are to remove sediment and impurities instead of moving to put these regulations in place without professional considerations.
