Continuing Education Credits

The continuing education regulation, as stated, needs to be revised in several areas. The idea that the board cannot preapprove credits is a problem. No professional can afford to take time off of work and spend money for a class or seminar that is going to be rejected at a later date. I agree with other comments that the board should organize the credit requirement. This organazation would include courses that are pre-approved at the very least. The next problem is the requirment to maintain record of credit received for a license, This is written to be three years after expiration of that license. Once the license expires the paperwork should expire. At the very least, the board should have the record on file for as long as it needs to support its'  approval.
