I share the sentiments of most Professional Engineers offering comment on this proposal.   Most of us earned a degree in engineering;  gained engineering experience by working in our field and through the mentorship of more senior engineers; studied long and passed a difficult exam.

I believe the more experience I gain, the more wisdom I have for making careful and sound engineering decisions; that is not a qualification gained in a classroom - I am sorry, it's just not.  This wisdom includes knowledge of our limitations and the ability to know when we need to review or learn new engineering material - we don't need this mandated on a rigid time-line.   Thank you.
