Strongly Opposed to Proposed Changes

As a licensed professional engineer, I am disappointed to learn that the Commonwealth is selling out to "continuing education" lobbyists.  Practicing engineers must already continually educate themselves to remain current and competitive.  Each engineer is responsible for keeping themselves up to date, and I see a state-mandated CEU program as a waste of resources.  Would you rather a professional spend the necessary time to update knowledge on their own as required, or spend valuable time and money to attend such ethically rewarding courses as 'How to Maximize Profits on State Jobs'?
