Support for new stormwater regulations

I encourage the Soil and Water Conservation Board to uphold its responsibility to the people of the Shenandoah Valley, to the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and to our nation's strong heritage of stewardship.

"Here is your country.  Do not let anyone take it or its glory away from
you.  Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its
beauty, its riches, or its romance.  The world and the future and your
children shall judge you according to [the way] you deal with this sacred
trust."

President Theodore Roosevelt

These stormwater regulations are a concrete step toward a sustainable future for the Valley.  Clean water is important to all residents, regardless of occupation, political affiliation, or personal convictions.  I want you to know that taking action now is the right thing to do - for the local watershed, for the Bay, and perhaps most importantly: for the people of Virginia.
