Pass in current form the amendments to Virginia's Storm Water Managment Program

To whom it may concern -

I am writing to strongly support the passage in current form of the amendments to the Virginia Storm Water Management Program.   Please put the vast majority of citizens' interests for sustaining the Commonwealth's clean water above the special interests: developers.

Using the economic recession as a device to change the amendments is not appropriate and very short-sighted. Recessions are not forever, watershed’s are if they are cared for and managed sustainably. The Chesapeake Bay watershed is at a tipping point, continued inaction will simply lead to the permanent impairment of the Bay - the Commonwealth of Virginia must do its part as a key steward of this resource. In addition, the new storm water regulations will not go into effect for at least 2 to 2 ½ years; we should not sacrifice future clean water based on current economic conditions.

It's time our state government take more of leadership role to protect Virginia's waterways and water resources for future generations within Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Concerned regards,
