NO VALUE IN MANDATED CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

I have been a Professional Engineer for 21 years. Throughout my career, I have attended several classes and seminars on an as needed basis to improve my knowledge. Most of the subjects were marginally benefical.  When did the Government become so in tune to my needs? If Continuing Education is mandated and needed subject is not available, then maybe I can waste my time and  my employer's money taking a very easy class or seminar just to fulfill the license requirement.  Wasting my time surely will not improve my competency or improve the safety of citizens of the Commonwealth. Then who will benefit from this bureaucracy?
