Use of in CE providers

I am an out of State regulant.

I also hold licenses in other states which require CE and in other states that do not require CE. Over the years I have used numerous CE services , some good , some in it for the money , some awkward to execute.

I find that the service I currently use is authorized in all the states that I need to have CE. They are an internet and webinar based service and they also provide maintenance of CE records , notification to the necessary agencies and provide a review of the various states requirements and assist  in selecting an appropriate menu of CE courses for a particular state.

The fact that they are internet based,  I find to be the single most important service they provide. It means I can take and complete the courses at my pace and on my schedule. The second important service is the record keeping and agency notifications.

I would encourage you to use at least these two  criteria in authorizing which services are going to be allowed to provide the CE courses to regulants. I will not mention the name of the service as I think that is not appropriate. I do not have a vested or financial interest in the firm . They are a nationwide firm and the quality of their course material is very good , much better than others I have used. I have been using them for about 8 years.

I have known that CE is an inevitable coming fact with all the states , it is  only a matter of time.  Lets not have Virginia enter this venue on something less than a professional basis.  Let us not confine this to Virginia  based CE firms only, and let us not add some silly step in the CE course completion to agency notification process that negates a current methodolgy that is working . And I might add it is being accomplished with the integrity and ethics we as professionals are supposed to be held .
