Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

NO. I am so sadden to hear this is being considered.  As part of the Church, I apologize for allowing the world to create bandaids instead of healing and deliverance.  This is an issue the Church has yet to understand as well as the world.  First and foremost this is a sin issue, which means it's an reflection of an individual's decision being brought to light and instead of repentance, that individual is trying to force their views on others.

God created sex to allow His creation to "produce after its kind." When anything is misused, it causes harm. I acknowledge since the fall of mankind, the things God has called good have been perverted. God's laws were created to protect us not control us.

Many of these children are victims of abuse. A better idea is to help them heal and discover who they were created to be. Teach our children to except themselves as well as the fact we all are different.  No longer allow what we do - our actions and choices be the component in which we define ourselves. We are created and defined by God for His purpose.  When we fall short, He forgives and shows us a better way to ensure a blessed life as well as safety.

Live a life of intentional forgiveness not bitterness. Teach the children the identity of God based upon His word, then they will understand who they are. God is love and desires good not evil to permeate our lives.

For the sake of each child - yours included, VOTE NO!
