Yes to CES, No to MCE!

As a 20 year+ member of the American Institute of Architects, I have faithfully satisified my yearly CES quota in order to maintain my membership. I have attended outstanding CES events (learned something I could use that I didn't already know) and abysmal CES events (worthless at any price). However, I was a "willing" perticipant in this program. The Commonwealth of Virginia legislature (or any state legislature for that matter!) has no business "mandating" continuing education. Those of our professing who value lifelong learning will seek it out, those who don't will not. WE DON'T NEED YET ANOTHER GOVERNMENT MANDATE IN OUR VERY BUSY LIVES. We all struggle to manage the commitments we already have. Please don't add yet another bureaucratic boondoggle. The system of American Enterprise will handle this through "survival of the fittest" THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
