SUPPORT Continued Licensure of Landscape Architects

I am writing in strong support of continued licensure for Landscape Architects.  I am an NCIDQ certified interior designer, licensed in the District of Columbia and part owner of a woman owned small business with 23 employees.  Our business has provided interior design and architecture services to corporate and government clients in the Washington Metropolitan area and nationwide since 1989.

Our professional designers and architects routinely assemble teams of other MEP & Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects, AV & Acoustical Engineers, etc. - whatever team of professionals is needed to accomplish a given project.  Without the professional credentials, we would not be able to include these disciplines on our project teams due to client certification requirements.

I can't stress enough the importance of keeping the licensure requirement for Landscape Architects.  This should not be a question for debate.

Sincerely,

Lisa Layman
