I strongly support the continued regulation of:

1. Backflow prevention device workers, and
2.  Waste management facility operators.

Both of these professions are critical to protecting public safety and public health. These professions are also extremely specialized and the failure to properly install a backflow prevention device or operate a waste management facility may result in significant risk to the public. Furthermore, the failure to operate a waste management facility may endanger not only the surrounding community, but the operator themselves. Regulation of these professions is the one of the easiest ways to ensure compliance with drinking water and waste management standards and ensure ethical professionalism in these industries.
