Continuing Education-yes, More Red Tape--No!

I like the idea of continuing education.  I educate myself continually anyway as I strive to pursue my profession with excellence.  If the proposed requirements are written to

  1. allow individual professionals to further their own education
  2. allow those individuals to pursue education that benefits their expertise in their specific area of practice
  3. minimize expense
  4. minimize reporting requirements
  5. allow carryover
  6. provide consistency with the requirements of other states in amount of education required

I do not like the idea of more Red Tape.  Please carefully consider the reporting and recordkeeping burden of proposed rules.

I am also aware of current budget issues at many levels of government.  Please carefully consider the administrative and financial burden of any new government responsibilities.  I do not want my taxes raised, either.

Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

Sincerely,

Nickie D. Mills, PE
