No benefit of PE Continuing Education

As a licensed engineer in multiple states, I am currently subjected to continuing education requirements in states which have this requirement in place.  Your decision in this matter will have no bearing on my personal interests, as I already have to attend mandatory classes for continuing education.  While the concept of continuing eduction seems reasonble, the actual application of continuing education adds no value to the individual engineer, nor the state.  The increased administrative burden to the individual and to the state is high; whereas, the eductional benfit is absent.  All of the continuing education classes that I have personally attended are no more than glorfied sales presentations.  My professional development has solely been a factor of my daily professional activities, and in no case a result of continuing education.
