I object to both the content and the fast tracking of this change.

If it is important to track flu outcomes, this should be reported anonymously and only in confirmed cases of influenza virus. The specific virus should also be tracked in order to better document the efficacy of any preventive measures that were taken. It is extremely important to me that my health information is kept confidential between me and my doctor because I take my privacy seriously. 

I object to the fast tracking of this amendment because it does not allow time for citizens and physicians to weigh in on the issue and for legislators to educate themselves to make a truly informed choice on the issue.
