Cost vs. Benefit - Look at the numbers

Using the information provided in the  brief economic impact document related to this measure located at the following address:

http://townhall.virginia.gov/L/GetFile.cfm?File=E:\townhall\docroot\7\2230\4355\EIA_DPOR_4355_v1.pdf

Cost for all Professional Engineers - 24,561 PEs x $1106 = $27,164,466

Cost for all Architects - 6,673 x $1029 = $6,866,517

Cost for Land Surveyors - 1,438 x $838 = $1,205,044

The actual billing rate for these professionals is 2x to 3x these figures.  Also AE firms and related businesses will have to provide reimbursement for travel, meals, and any other expenses.  Think about al the money the state will lose for CE of its own employees.  Tax payer dollars wasted, and unnecessary burden on the professionals and their employers.
