Air Pollution Control Board

Virginia’s plan to reduce carbon dioxide emission by thirty to forty percent by 2030 is a good one. It stresses the increasing risk from storm surges and dramatic changes in weather; and their effects on homeowners, agriculture, and the workforce. Therefore, I believe that Virginia is smart to set regulations reducing carbon dioxide to protect the state from further effects and the increasing human and money costs associated with climate change. However, I believe the state would be even better served by investing in renewable energies, this would reduce carbon dioxide further, set-up Virginia for the post-fossil fuel generation, and bring more jobs to Virginia.
