To begin with I am utterly appalled that a pipeline corporation has been given permission to rape, ravage, exploit, and trammel any land in Virginia. Eminent domain is only to be used for public good. The MVP has no benefit to landowners or Virginia residents, only to the corporation and anyone employed by it. The natural gas is destined for exportation while our lands, public and private, are compromised and our water jeopardized. 
National Forests are owned collectively by the American people, yet right now citizens are being denied access to the GW National Forest where a few courageous people are sitting in trees to stop the cutting and bulldozing. The Forest Service is complicit with the pipeline corporation in trying to starve out the people endeavoring to protect the forest. It is our tax dollars that pay FS salaries; the FS should be striving to protect the forest, not hassling citizens hiking in peacefully with water and food - which is NOT given to the tree sitters. I am disgusted that FS employees are doing the bidding of a corporation putting in a monster pipeline through sensitive and vulnerable areas. Already people have lost land use and livelihoods and must still pay taxes on their ruined property. This is WRONG.
Fossil fuels are being phased out. The only reason for this pipeline is to garner more profit for a corrupt and uncaring corporation. 
I support establishing the highest possible standard to curb emissions from power plants to reduce carbon pollution. I would like to see more dependence on alternative power, not just solar and wind, but utilizing tides, kinetic, and mini-hydro turbines. 
I would also like to see stricter laws regarding littering. In our county, for instance, we have numerous dumpsters and recycling bins, yet the amount of debris on our roadsides increases annually.
