Strongly opposed to dry needling ordinance

Safety is the primary concern! People with these certifications do not have enough training to safely treat patients. 300 hours is not enough time to learn a complete medical system. Every single acupoint on the body has a specified depth and direction of insertion. Licensed acupuncturists spend years learning and practicing correct needle technique. All licensed professionals dedicate themselves to their craft, as a society we should not cheapen that commitment by allowing short cuts into different specialties. Just because a person knows anatomy, does not mean they can become a surgeon in 300 hours.     Sincerely, Dr. Baisong Zhong, L.Ac., M.D. (China), PhD.
