There are too many points on human body that, when using needling on them without sufficient medical knowledge will be harmful to the patient. It is required for a person to take thousands of hours of training to be an accupuncturist to perform needling properly. PTs should get equivalent amount of training on the accupunture points to ensure patients' safety  and their benefits from the techniques.
