I fully 100% support PT in their abilities to administer dry needling both effectively and precisely. I have personal ly had success with my PT and I think removing this option to patients who suffer is unconscionable. PTs are trained in the anatomical and clinical knowledge, they posses the skills to perform this much needed methodology. Further, dry needling is vastly different from any type of acupuncture.
I am not a huge fan of needles but dry needling in conjuction with Physical Therapy has helped me tremendously. I feel if properly regulated PT's should continue to be allowed to offer this service to ailing patients.
