As a licensed acupuncturist, I oppose dry needling done by PT's. Dry needling is acupuncture renamed. They are using acupuncture needles and acupuncture points. This is out of their scope of practice. Bottom line is they need to have the same education and pass the same boards as any other licensed acupuncturist. PT's are continually leaching into other professionals' fields of expertise without having to meet the same qualifications.
