Support of dry needling

Dry needling is an important therapeutic option that physical therapists have to offer their patients. I work in an orthopedic medical practice where we are often referring our patients to therapists and we often recommend those that have the option for needling over others so that the patients has all therapeutic options open to them. Dry needling is a choice - if the patient has anxiety with needles or prefers not to try this treatment option they can always say no. But some patients recovery process would not be complete with out this treatment. To take away dry needling from our therapists would ultimately only harm the patients that improve so much from this therapy. I support the continued use of dry needling for physical therapists.
